I think it comes down to three things:
Breakdown (was absolute Rubbish)
No Mongrel
Attitude- I think I saw maybe 3 players giving it a real go putting everything they had into it whilst the rest had heads and sholders slumped...

My point - this was a horror draw for the Force.

It was, no question, but that was why their performance over the first six rounds was so exciting. With the tours behind them, that should have been the hardest part of their year over had they maintained the focus. If the metaphor at the time was that they were standing at the threshold of something special, they have subsequently got their heel caught in the mat, tripped over the doorframe, brained themselves on the doorhandle and sprained something as they've crashed to ground. Not the end of the world, but disappointing nonetheless.

For mine, while there are definite concerns over some of our forward play (particularly our scrummaging), the core of our problem is mental. The excuse has been used several times that they "didn't switch on" or "didn't show up" and I can see how that might apply at the start of the game, but somehow that has actually meant "didn't switch on [for the bulk of the match, even when it was plain we were in a game]" and "didn't show up [for any more than the 10 minutes or so that sometimes salvages a game for us, perhaps half the time]". There is still something soft about the team, leadership and all, when that resolve seemingly just can't be mustered. We are still an very, very long way from that feeling of implacable will that the truly good teams demonstrate, but one day it will come and then...
