Woman streaks during rugby match
HAMILTON, New Zealand, June 16 (UPI) -- A single mother's streak in a bikini during a recent rugby match of the New Zealand All Blacks netted her a fine but she may profit in the long run.
Lisa Lewis, 25, was fined $330 for streaking at Saturday's rugby match at Hamilton's Waikato Stadium. She has also put the bikini she wore up for auction on the Web site Trade Me, bringing in a high bid of $4,000 as of 2 p.m. Friday, the Wellington Dominion Post reported.
Speaking at Lewis' court date -- which she did not attend -- Prosecutor Sgt. Bill Cronin said Lewis had planned the streak ahead of time, and even brought appropriate running shoes with her, the Post reports.
During the match Lewis reportedly stripped down to her bikini and ran onto the field, before being subdued by security, arrested and taken away in a police van.
