Queensland Country Heelers have caused the 2008 Australian Rugby Shield’s first upset, with a 33-7 victory over defending champions Melbourne Axemen at Charters Towers in Queensland on Saturday.
In the only other match in Round One the Darwin Mosquitoes came from an 8-3 half time deficit to win 20-18 against the Adelaide Black Falcons at Austar Park in Darwin.
