Carter sinks boot into Beale
Bret Harris | May 30, 2008
CRUSADERS five-eighth Dan Carter has turned up the psychological pressure on his Waratahs opposite number Kurtley Beale by emphasising the importance of goal-kicking in the Super 14 final in Christchurch tomorrow night.
Carter, playing in his Crusaders finale before heading to Europe, is one of the best goal-kickers in world rugby, while Beale has been inconsistent with the boot in his first season with the responsibility for the Waratahs.
Beale landed only two goals from seven attempts in the Waratahs' 28-13 win against the Sharks in their semi-final in Sydney last Saturday night.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
So where is the bit where he "sinks the boot" into Beale?
You'd have thought the headline might at least somewhat align with the actual text that follows....
maybe he missed?
the thing is, beale was dodgy under pressure last week and carter is just reminding him.....
