RYAN CROSS has pushed himself in a series of gruelling training sessions to prove to the Wallabies selectors he's fit - and ready - to represent Australia in the upcoming Tests against Ireland and France after recovering from a fractured cheekbone.
The selectors will tomorrow name a 30-man squad for the international season and a selection that could have a direct bearing on Cross's aspirations is whether they decide to play Matt Giteau in the No.10 jumper or at 12...
Another who could spoil his party is fellow league convert, Timana Tahu. The former Parramatta Eels speedster is a contender for the squad, but the school of thought is he'll be best blooded in Australia A team and play five games in as many weeks against Pacific Island teams. It is the same apprenticeship Cross served last year.

Good luck buddy!
You have played well all season adn hopefully the selectors have that dually noted for tomorrow!!
Crossy had an absolute blinder of a season and I think it would be such an injustice if he doesn't get named in the squad. I still don't rate Tahu yet and he still looks like he's playing league to me. The talent is definitely there but I think he needs a few more club and super 14 games under his belt to truly settle into the flow of the game.
I just can't see Cross not getting picked.
I made Happy sad...
it has to be crossy!
it's a no contest. he played his arse off all season and he deserves that jumper!
Did Tahu play this season...
"Bloody oath we did!"

if Tahu gets in instead of Cross then honestly that is not fair. Cross has been outstanding this season, not sure of Tahu though

i think he may have played the last 2 games? I know he was injured for a fair bit & right around game 13ish i think he may have come back in?
He played about 5 minutes on Saturday did Tim Tam.
Cross should get ahead of Tim Tam easily. Tim Tam can play for oz next year. Learn the ropes first, unless he has some contraxctual clause which means he has to play. But surely that won't be the case.

Surely not?
I wouldn't put it past the NSWRU board to have arranged some agreement at all chook. We all know the hold they seem to have on the ARU!
