Katanning Rugby Union Club Cemented its top of the tabe position on the weekend with a convincing 52-5 win over old rivals Narrogin Broncos. These two teams last met in the 2008 Country Carnival 2nd division grand final at dunsbourough over the foundation day long weekend, where the KRushers went over for 4 trys and only missed the one conversion to take out the 2008 plate 26 points to nil.The weekends drubbing of Narrogin brings Katanning up to 3 wins with Albany on 1 win and Narrogin still on none. This weekend is the first general bye for 08 but Katanning will be running a Juniors fun day from 10am till noon with a sausage sizzle to follow. All ages are welcome to attend for "rugby familiarisation games" and age relevent drills and skills. After the funday Katannings Under 18s will be taking on the Cowpats from Dunsbourough . The Cowpats are Dunsbouroughs golden oldies side with players required to be 35 and over with some of there players being well over 60. Any interested people in this age group who may want a game are invited to do so.
