Well, all the indications are that that this is likely to happen. Palmyra is in a form and player trough, with many of its limited number of senior players out with long term injuries, including flanker Jerry Viriki, prop Rob Salotti, utility back Taj Mailati. fullback Malu Lauti-galloti and second rower Chris Rankine. Add to this that Palmyra have yet to see a Force player in their ranks, and the writing appears to be on the wall.
Perth on the other hand, as far as I am aware, come into the game after a string of successes, resplendent with a treasure trove of Force hopefuls, and little in the way of injuries.
I hope Pally can take it up to them and be competitive, but one must be realistic.
It would be interesting to hear a Perth perspective.
Over to you, Rick, Pieter, Goony. What's happening at Perth?
I heard a whisper that Richard Brown played for Cott last weekend and made an ass of himself with his attitude. Apparently he behaved like turning out for Cott was a huge joke to be enjoyed by him at club rugby's expense. Apparently too, this had something to do with his being yellow carded.
Jerk.
Is Taj Mailati the same Taj who had an academy contract for thein 2006 and played for Bay of Plenty in the NPC in 2007? If so, you have a
player in your club, he took the field twice.
BTW he's a rocko boy (well, theshoved him in Rocko after buying him in from NZ)

Yeah, same guy Gig. But he's not been with the Force for a couple of seasons and rocked up to our club as he lives in the area and has a couple of mates who play for us. Can't play with one hand though...
Heard another whisper that one of Perth's stars may be taking an enforced holiday this weekend and perhaps a few more as a result of an onfield incident, and another unfortunately got injured.
That should stir things up a bit in the comp., although it won't make much difference against us...
He seemed pretty flash when he turned out for us.....didn't seem to take club footy too seriously though!

Leopards and spots Gigs...
Good to hear, maybe the last couple of years has proven that he won't get anywhere in the sport without trying!
Hope he manages a contract!

well fulvio everything suggests it would be a walk in the park but i have always seen palmyra as a tough challenge, especially on the body.
there is a few injuries in the Perth camp, mainly in the backs, and JT has seen this as an opportunity to play a few of the youngsters. Don't know his chosen team but one of the under 18's was training in the group last night and with the 2 1st fives currently injured he could be thrown in the deep end. If so let's hope he doesn't run at pally's 5/8 as he can put on some pretty mean hits!!
i'm thinking palmyra will take it to us, especially in front of their home crowd but unfortunately wont be able to seal the deal. Perth by 16 points![]()
Whos going to the game? I figure with no Wallabies this week (and no big Friday night beforehand) I might wander down to get my rugby fix for the week.
what time?? I scored a ticket to a box at another sporting event at subi oval so i need to be there by 5:30 to get my drink on
