Bayonne sign 'Rodzilla' from Queensland
June 18, 2008 - 6:00AM
Australia international tighthead prop Rodney Blake, known as "Rodzilla," has joined Bayonne from Queensland, the Top 14 French club said on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Tongan-born prop, who stands 1.92m and weighs 130kg, will provide a powerful presence in the scrum.
Blake, who has played seven times for his country, has joined on a two-year contract.

See you back in two years time a better technician I hope Rodzilla!
One of the few with potential to improve who already have been capped IMHO.

Go Rodzilla...return once you fill out
coz Stone Cold says so
Hopefully he'll come back a fitter, meaner frontrower.
Always thought he had the potential, he was just never really interested in working for eighty minutes (sometimes not sixty minutes....shit in the trial he didn't last ten minutes)
C'mon the![]()

Oh bugger!
I hope he comes back, he has the same birthday as mebut I really think the stint in France will do wonders for his playing ability. Good luck to him.
i dont think he will last the 2 years over there, i reckon he will get homesick and come back to Aus..
He wanted to move back to NSW a couple of years ago to be with his family.
I think he will struggle over there but money is greater then the scrum.
ELV's just don't suit his size. If he sheds 15-20 kgs, he's a chance of being competitive again in Super Rugby.
he was just a lazy bastard, he was looking fit and healthy in the 2006 season, then injuries and lack of game time hurt his fitness last year and he was never able to get back into it.
Good, so it is not just me. I always got the feeling that he was someone that had always relied on his size advantage and, once he progressed to the level where that didn't apply, was too lazy or unskilled to develop accordingly.
Maybe the NH boys will beat it out of him.
