Have supported the Maroons since moving to these shores so quietly pleased with the result. Thats my mungo-fix for me, now back to the Rugby.

On a spot of reality for a moment, and I can bring this up because it's not a losing gripe, I was watching Willy Mason and I honestly don't think he touched the ball with his boot in one single play the ball. Other big forwards made a token effort but he just rolls it back with his hand and steps over it.

it's just something that happens. A few years ago (2006 i think) they cracked down on it big time but the ref's seem to have eased off again

I can go with "just something that happens" for one or two in a match but this was pretty consistent and quite blatant, as I say there were others that were barely touching it if at all but he wasn't even making an effort to touch it.
I saw it with his first so I made a point of watching it from then on.
His attempts had about as much credability as a mungo "scrum"...

Don't know how you can say that - didn't get enough carries to make a judgment. I thought that, and not for the first time, when the big game was there to be won and someone needs to roll the sleeves up and do the hard work, he was missing in action.

Thaiday was on a personal mission to destroy his shoulder on Masons shins too!
Was almost comical how far big Sam was running as soon as Willy touched the ball.
Willy did have a fair few carries to be fair Shasta, just didn't get far with them, he seemed to be trying to draw the tackle and look to pass rather than just bash it up and create the hole.

he had a few good runs and made a couple of good tackles (note: a few, not alot) but i agree that he went missing at times. At least i can go back to thinking he's a dickhead
