Wallabies breathing easier after win
July 6, 2008 - 9:21AM
The Wallabies are breathing a little easier after Saturday night's costly 40-10 Test victory over France at Suncorp Stadium.
While fullback Cameron Shepherd is out of the Tri-Nations with a broken leg, centre Berrick Barnes and lock James Horwill have been cleared of serious injuries.
Horwill feared he had suffered a broken eye-socket after being king-hit from behind in a wild brawl while Barnes sustained an AC problem in his shoulder.
Scans cleared both and coach Robbie Deans believes they might be available to play South Africa in Perth in a fortnight.
French prop Renaud Boyoud and No.8 Imanol Harinordoquy have been cited for their parts in the brawl, with both throwing punches at Horwill.
