THE WESTERN Force have lost another international target in a bid to strengthen their front-row stocks.
The Super 14 side was chasing Springbok and Sharks tighthead prop Jannie du Plessis after failing to snare his brother, Bismarck, the Sharks hooker.
But the Force were told on Friday that, like his brother, Jannie du Plessis is under contract to the Sharks for another year.
Both are likely to remain targets of the Force though, with coach John Mitchell long wanting another big front rower.
Gerrie Swart manager for both brothers said: ``Jannie and Bismarck are both available in 2010. Until then they are contracted to the Sharks.''

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
Good.
AJ would just make them look weak.
