WESTERN Force coach John Mitchell is facing a player revolt at the Perth-based Super 14 outfit with three seasons to run on his contract.
The Sunday Times can reveal Mitchell's abrasive temperament has allegedly caused a major divide among the Force playing roster.
The split has led a group of senior Force stars to put together a dossier outlining their frustrations with Mitchell to be presented to the Force board.
It is understood former Force second-rower John Welborn has been made aware of the dossier of emails detailing complaints about Mitchell.
Welborn is the players' representative who sits on the Force board and is expected to present the emails at the next scheduled board meeting on October 20...

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
there is nothing new in this, its plainly clear that not all the players get along with mitchell, as in every work enviroment not everyone gets along and agrees with the boss........if he did storm out of the dressing room at half time against the brumbies, fair enough, but the players seemed to play well enough in the second half to win it.....!!
Hmm... stormed out at half time of the Brumbies match, when they'd had 4 tries put on them in about 30 minutes. If it pissed them off they certainly managed to channel that rage very effectively.
my cats breath smells like cat food.............................
sorry i thought i would make a post that is useless as this article
Is this the 3rd or 4th rehash of this subject we've read over the past few weeks??
Yeah, my boss gives me the shits some days

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

one of the teachers at my school asked longbottom at the brumbies game what mitchell said at half time and he said he didnt even come down..

If it affected them that much there would have been a formal complaint made to Harris, it says he only knows about it informally so it can't be that serious.
Who's to say Mitchell didn't do it on purpose to fire the boys up...it worked and they won.
I'm sick of the same thing being spewed up, all clubs have problems a lot more serious than this, if there's anything new & factual to add then go for it but otherwise shoosh, its a waste of paper...think of the trees.
I find it quite worrying now, compared to the previous time it came out.
But hearing it from John Welborn puts some credibility to this issue, and it definitely might turn out to be a bigger problem than we think. And considering this is from PerthNow, and not some NZ paper, it really is a bit more worrying than there may be tensions between the ranks. And esp since John has a history of being quite a character.
Not liking what i hear. But hopefully, they can mend it out.

this does sound a bit more substantial than the other times...
mabye they were prequels?
either way, no matter what happens the board will get onto this issue. and will be doing all they can to ensure that it ends with a positive outcome
If there is truth to the matter I would suggest your "positive outcome" would be the players get the arse Jono.
Right or wrong, I can't see a pro like Mitch having anything less than an iron clad contract in regard to such issues.
