Here's a new idea for life after rugby:
ACT Brumbies winger Clyde Rathbone has been approached to try out for the Australian bobsleigh team.
Rathbone was contacted by Olympian Jeremy Rolleston, who is on the lookout for potential 'sliders' to be part of the Australian team ahead of the next Winter Olympics.
"I wasn't sure if [it] was a bit of a gee-up or if he was being serious," Rathbone told ABC.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Clyde Rathbone’s has plenty of spirit; he was out injured for 15 months.
SMH RH extract: Rathbone's greatest asset would be his speed and strength off the mark, which earned him the nickname of "White Rhino" when he first came to Australia in 2003 from South Africa, where he was born and raised in Durban. And he still has speed. He clocked the fastest time over 40 metres in sprint tests at the Brumbies this week. But Rathbone feels he has plenty of rugby ahead. He hopes to extend his Brumbies contract after it expires next year…
Nice to read Clyde has kept his speed. He is doing well if he is faster than young speedsters Alfi Mafi, Gene Fairbanks and Australia under 20s fullback Peter Betham.
Last year Josh Holmes was fastest, its was a bit of a concern having the fastest back as your halfback.
Saw that - bodes well that he is running at speed again. Fingers crossed his problems are behind him.
the pressure is on as he is only contracted for this season...I hope he does well his only 27... still has plenty to offer...
Can't see his rugby mates being too kind about the bobsledding uniform though.
He can just blame the cold, Swee.

it is the courage to continue that counts.
