Well now the dates are set the tour is on!
Basic details so far
Arrive Sydney early Friday 27 February, check into The Australian Hotel ($110 pp) in The Rocks and the fesivities kick off. That evening you could head out to see the Waratahs v Highlanders or enjoy the nighlife (I know what I'll be doing!)
The train ($55 pp) leaves Central early (6.58am) for Canberra where we arrive at 11.21. Check into Crowne Plaza ($100-$150 pp shared room) and have until game time at I guess around 6pm to either drink King O'Mallleys dry of Magners again or go see the sights (see above)
On Sunday you can either hang about Canberra (or better still, sleep in) for a 12.10 to 16.30 return train ($55 pp) or we could hire a van or two if required to get us back to Sydney early, this way you get the classic Sunday Pub crawl of The Rocks and stay again at The Australian so you can leave for Perth on Monday as it will be a Public Holiday here in WA that day.
As you can see there is about $500 of costs there and that just about do the van or train back and include a game ticket for the Brumbies match.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

I am planning on being in Canberra for this one. It is easier for me to make my own way to Canberra (direct flight from Adelaide on the friday night), so I will be at King O'Malleys waiting...
I will be enjoying good old-fashioned Dutch hospitality that weekend.
Bring on Sydney and a much anticipated Lote Bashing!![]()

Have you spoken to The Australian TIF ?
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
Can't make it.....I'll be packing my bags for NZ as we fly out on Tuesday March 3rd to watch theplay the Chiefs & Crusaders.
