What do you think should happen with Hayden?
I feel that dodgy decision will give him another chance but the clock is ticking loud.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
if he doesnt score many runs in the next two tests,he will be told to retire
He might changes codes.
I think it's time to go. He scored more than 1000 runs a year for 5 years in a row(2001 - 2005). He's been in a slump more than once in that time, but got out of the slump and scored big after that, but the last 3 years it's been a downhill battle for him.
I think the stats says it all:
2001 - 1391 runs
2002 - 1160 runs
2003 - 1312 runs
2004 - 1123 runs
2005 - 1380 runs
2006 - 787 runs
2007 - 320 runs
2008 - 517* runs
It will be sad to see him go, but quit while you're ahead mate..
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
not too sure. I would rather see him choose to go out on top instead of another Mark Waugh decision where he was effectively pushed, sure he "announced" his retirement, unfortunately it happened the day after the test side had been announced and he had been dropped.
There are contenders for his spot, Phil Jacques (NSW) when fit again, Chris Rogers (Vic), young Philip Hughes from NSW smashed another 100 yesterday and is destined to get a Baggy Green Cap probably sooner rather then later.
Sure Hayden has seen his way out of form slums before, but age is not on his side this time around. He is the Boxing Day speacilist though, scoring a ton every Boxing Day since 2000.
Score some runs or he won't make it to that Ashes farewell he has spoken of

which will be a real shame.
ive grown up watching him play, and i really think he has been a servant of aussie cricket in his time. he deserved to be given the honour of being allowed to choose when he goes out.
i think we should all wish him the best, because he damn well deserves it!
Yeah you and a few million other people jono
I said prefer to see him go out on his terms, but if he needs to pushed, I say push him.
Australia facing a packed schedule including an Ashes tour next year against an England side that shouldn't be the push over they were 2 years ago. Cut the dead wood sooner then later.
I think he might pull the pin himself sooner, Boxing Day could be his last stand

wow i finally saw the Hayden dismissal on TV Highlights on Fox Sports 3 (was in the gents when it happened live) and the term "Ripped Off" does not even come close to dealing with that
Dale Steyn you are a cheat
(doesnt surprise me that he happens to be saffer as well)
Hayden has scored centuries in the last two Boxing day tests (against England and India 2006,07).
Hayden's stats for boxing day tests:
2000 vs West Indies 13 & 30
2001 vs Sout Africa 138 & 3*
2002 vs England 102 & 1
2003 vs India 136 & 53*
2004 vs Pakistan 9 & 56*
2005 vs South Africa 65 & 137
2006 vs England 153 & DNB
2007 vs India 124 & 47
Haydens stats at the MCG:
matches: 9
Innings: 17
50's: 3
100's: 6
High score: 153
Avg: 76.57
Let's hope if he decides to retire, that he goes out on a high in the boxing day test
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
He's out of here....the sacrificial lamb of the batting line-up!!!
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
More like the sacrificial mutton![]()
