Well when was the last time you checked out a live basketball match? Your close to the action of a exciting fast paced match.
The Perth Wildcats take on the New Zealand Breakers at Challenge Stadium 7.00pm this Saturday. Why not head down for a good nights entertainment...
www.wildcats.com.au/ for more info.
I didn't know anyone still supported the Wildcats

I actually am interested in them - always liked big men![]()
Can't stand cricket though - when I'm in a silly humour Jargs you'll have to explain it - the only thing I vaguely understand is that a red stain on your pants means you are a bowler. It's acceptable to go fishing if you are a player rather than play - and players don't really have tea when they have tea.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Woops, didn't see the Other Sports section.
But yeah, alot of people still support the Wildcats. They get 4,200 people into a 4,500 capacity stadium with little-no media attention. And the quality is better than ever.
NBL and quality in the same sentence. Hardly alot when you can't even sell out a 4,500 stadium
How long untill the Wildcats go into administration? Seems to be the norm for NBL teams lately

play nice jargs....
Well the NBL currently has about 10 past NBA players plus plenty of future/unlucky not to be in the NBA players. Australia is the 9th best mens basketball country and 2nd best overall (mens, womens, juniors) according to the world rankings. Plus the Melbourne Tigers have 3 ex NBA players, 2 olympians and great young aussie talent and their only 3rd on the ladder!
Clubs going into administration is the owners faults, not the clubs... and no, the Wildcats won't be going into administration.
I will admit the womens team is allright, I watched some of their games at the olympics. The blokes team was a joke
Apparently they did a report into Basketball like they did into Football a few years ago recently

Jargs the more diversity in the world the better - even you
and I agree with the gentleman the Wildcats get NO media attention - even less than rugby and less since the American Coach left town last year.

divesity? Whats that got to do with my point?
I thought the Coach was some yank?
Oh you mean the bloke who played for the as well

A joke? We beat the 3rd best team in the world by 31 points, the 15th ranked team (who have one of the best defensive players in the world, and won the Eurobasket tournament) by 15 points, not to mention Iran by about 40 points.
And our roster contains Andrew Bogut (NBA star), Pat Mills (predicted to be a top 10 nba draft pick), Dave Anderson (One of the best players playing in Europe), Joe Ingles (future NBA player), Chris Anstey (former nba player), brad newley (nba player), cj bruton (former nba player), plus nbl stars.
In a warm up game against a full strength USA team, we stayed with them all game and only lost by 8 points. Australian highlights- http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=U5zfDNT4A8Y
And yes, they did a report which will increase the marketing and connect the grassroots with the NBL more (basketball is the most played sport in VIC)
where did we finish at the olympics? which i was actually talking about
