EXCLUSIVE: WESTERN Force and Wallabies teenage sensation James O'Connor is under a cloud after being arrested following a Gold Coast nightclub incident.
And The Sunday Times can reveal it is not the first time the 18-year-old rugby prodigy's behaviour has angered the Force.
The young gun has admitted to struggling to cope with a rapid rise to fame during which he met the Queen on the Wallabies' northern hemisphere tour, last month.
He was arrested two Saturday nights ago after being thrown out of Cocktails and Dreams nightclub in Surfers Paradise.
His manager, Anthony Picone, said he was embroiled in an unprovoked attack. Despite being hit, O'Connor did not retaliate and after being interviewed by police was told by them to leave Surfers.
Picone said O'Connor could not get a taxi so he called a friend to pick him up, but was arrested going to another club.
A Queensland police spokesman said O'Connor was charged with "contravening a direction". (I didn't even know that was an actual crime, I thought it was just something your parents told your off for!)

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. While there are worse things to be arrested for its bit of a bloody stupid thing to do. Surely for the amount these guys get paid they should be able to think "Things could go bad from here perhaps I should leave. I don't want to but I risk my future by staying."
Not the first time his behaviour has angered the Force? Hmmm it just goes to show you can't judge people entirely as they appear.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
ah mate, if you're gonna get arrested make it count.
sounds like he was given a move on notice and didnt leave the streets that they told him to be clear of within half an hour or whatever...
shit happens. its not like he was caught coking up in the back of some club.
he is an 18 year old kid. boys will be boys. he didnt do anything to have lasting effects on anyone else. the fact that he didnt retaliate shows that he had his wits about him.
slap him on the wrist and move on. the sponsorships he just cost himself will more than make up for it in the long run
A bit of one on one time with Brown Dog may sort him out.

Maybe he should take a look at how Bam Bam behaves.
Yes it was only a misdemeanour (And the Sunday Times headline about being a Naught Boy sums it up) but he has to remember he is going to be in the public eye now for ever. When you are earning what he is and wear your country colours like he does you have to be responsbile even if you are only 18.
Absolutely astounded he did not retaliate - that shows a certain maturity - he should be congratulated.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
agreed.
there isnt many people who would walk away when someone has a swing at you. whether it was provoked or otherwise.
How many 18 year olds are asked to "move along" on the Gold Coast each week?
Why is this 18 year old any different to any other?
Was he wearing his out in public Western Force wear - representing the Emirates Western Force?
Was he wearing his out in public Wallabies wear - representing the Wallabies.
Was he out during the Western Force or Wallabies Season? Nope he was on his approved annual leave.
Nope he was J'OC - a private citizen. Out having drinks with his mates.
Why is this headline news? Why is it even in the paper?
