messing about this afto and produced a couple of graphs - interesting S14 winner needs to be aiming at 38 + points for finals - and some teams are preforming better while others are preforming worse - the Tahs are just all over the place

... and to think all I did with my afternoon was make some guacamole and have a nap...
These graphs will be more interesting after a couple more years.
Maybe you could do one for % winning margins? Would that work?
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.

Do you reckon that the trends will continue that's the bit that got me

Well, I think much of the trends will have to do with ELVs, therefore 2009 is a bit of a crapshoot. Interestign to see that the Sharks was the only SA team that improved their points scored in 2008!

Thanks for the graph, bonus points are needed the make the semis. It would be interesting to graph bonus points only and see which teams made the semis....
Based on those graphs, the Force and Stormers and the only consisetent improvers, although 3 years is a rather small sample size...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
That's just it - looking at the bookie odds as to where these teams are expected to finish and particularly theat $26 it was hard to understand - but there does seem to be a trend and personally I reckon we have 2 key games in the season ahead
1: the blues - either they are on the up or they are still upper midtable - a win against them is imperative preferably with a bonus point
2: the stormers - they are definitely improving especially since Rasy took over - they really want finals too.
other key games are the Canes and the Tahs (the Tahs because to be considered a force outside WA we need to topple them)

what I'd be interested in seeing is if the numbers of local perth players had increased since thestarted.
as In real "locals", not Saffer or NZ people who have moved to Perth?
nah! just wanted to see if having a local super 14 team hand increased the number of people involved in rugby in WA
I think they would both be interesting stats to see
Might be interesting to see how the team progressed - their points total by week for the season. It would show whether teams started well then stagnated, proceeded in a straight line, or came on with a rush at the back of the season.
