A blog on thewest.com.au asking if (or stating that) Matt should be shown the door immediately.
(Just not done IMNSHO)
http://blogs.thewest.com.au/general/...be-forced-out/
he should be put on the bench with joc and co getting a crack at 10 or even move gits to 12 so he can give them a bit of on field coaching!
use him and abuse him!
Note that the blog is by John Townsend. Not surprising.

I guess it depends if the Force want to win any more matches this year? And if they really want to make the semis...
Who he - talk about kicking a man when he is down - this is just horrible - I'd like him to be able to come back to Perth and he won't if it is all a vitriolic display by posturing adolescent males who didn't have a win this weekend continues.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Whether what John Townsend has to say is right or wrong will not change the fact that he is a goose...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Why would you banish him to the bench just because he is leaving at the end of the season? We want a trophy in our cabinet at the end of the season and if we have the chance to have Giteau on our team to do that, why waste it?
I'm not saying don't develop other players who are staying around, but don't punish Giteau for signing a contract with a different club. At the end of the season we have however many other players off contract and there's a chance that not all of them will re-sign with the Force either but you wouldn't put them on the sidelines because there's the potential they won't come back. Use Giteau while we can before he becomes the opposition and we're trying to figure out how to beat him & the rest of the Brumbies.
Whoever is the best player for each position should be put on the field. Thats how you win games, with a full strength team, no by being petty and banishing someone for leaving.

who is John Townsend anyway? Is he a regular Rugby writer or just some hack looking to get a bit of mileage out of this?
OK....OK.....maybe Gits can start at 12

coz Stone Cold says so
I would never bench a player who's on that sort of money to win games for us, simple as that.
I would (in a heartbeat) use him to teach next year's team how to be as good as he is though!
I suspect towards the end of the comp once the pressure is off (ie we're guaranteed a finals spot......or the unthinkable) we'll see Gits spend a whole lot more time riding the pines and a whole lot of options thrown at the #10 jersey....I know I would!

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
