Bulls hold off the storm
Pretoria - The Bulls beat the Stormers 14-10 at Loftus on Saturday in a poor match with arguably the worst first half of rugby played by either side since the inception of the Super competition.
The Bulls retained their first place on the log while the Stormers still have only one win from their four outings to date.
The crowd highlight during the first half was when the main stand fans had some fun after young debutante Gerhard van den Heever pushed the controversial Luke Watson over the advertising signboards for the Capetonian to be loudly booed as he retaliated.
He further incited the crowd by gesticulating while his team mates battled elsewhere to keep the Bulls out.
For 22 minutes it was nothing more than aerial ping-pong, with Percy Montgomery missing one and then taking a real hanger, and Zane Kirchner also missing two before redeeming himself with two good catches.
The second half started a little more promising with the Bulls breaking away from their own half and then, after a few rucks in Stormers territory, taking it wide for Bulls centre Wynand Olivier to score in the 47th minute.
Bulls hold off the storm
There were 50 000 spectators on Loftus
that was a crazy game
the crowd was getting right on luke watsons nerves, he eventually snapped
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
Bulls like the Waratahs this season are a little untested having either easier oppositions or homes games so far... It will be interesting to see if the 2006 Bulls are back... once they hit the road...
is he good enough to play Super 14 or International Rugby?

Yeah what is the problem with Watson? The 1st half was abysmal.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
He is good enough He is one the best in South Africa
But what he has said in the past about the Springbok jumper and about rugby in the olden days has really made him unpopular and the people of South Africa will never forgive him for that.
I will see if I can get some news links to it
