He was always going to need more surgery at the end of 2009 to remove all the nuts 'n' bolts holding that leg together. He was hoping to play in the meantime. Maybe that's no longer an option and better to bite the bullet now and hope all is repaired for next season. Still gives him two S14's before RWC.

Although the Hurricanes are sitting 6th on the log, all their wins (other than the Cheetahs in teh 4th round - win by 17 - big woop!) have been by 5 or 6. (Highlanders 5, Crusaders 6, Lions 6).
Sharks flogged them by 16 and they missed by 4 & 5 against the 'tahs and Bulls respectively.
They've been playing OK since round 1 - but no improvement, the Force are on the upward swing, the 'canes are on a relative downward spiral.
Force to pick up another bonus point win leaving the 'canes walking away with a big fat ZERO.
