Wallabies contracts run until the end of the year- if he has one for this year he cannot be released until after the Spring tour unless the ARU releases him.
I agree with you Muddy that Knuckles was a bloody hopeless Wallabies coach. But Gerrard's undoing was the fact that he wasn't an 80 minute test player in any position in the backline. He didn't really have the pace for the back three and the trial at 10 went belly up. Knuckles could have handled that better but the fact was that Gerrard is an exceptional player at S14 level but is average when it comes to the next level. IMHO much like AAC. He has had some great games- the Barbarians test was amazing but just isn't the all round package to be a Test superstar. Same applies to guys like Drew Mitchell.
