Tai McIsaac: Gentleman, Legend, Front row spearhead of the Western Force.
A veteran of eight Tests, the evergreen hooker is the only player to represent the Force in all 49 matches since its inception. His 50th will be this weekend against the Bulls in Pretoria.
A pin-point lineout thrower and solid scrummager, McIsaac came of age when he moved to Perth from Queensland in 2006, breaking into the Wallabies squad after starting the campaign behind Brendan Cannon on the reserves bench.
Since then ‘Taipan’ has owned the blue No.2 jersey and has used the 2009 Super 14 season to stake his claim for a recall to the national team. (He represented Australia A in last year’s Pacific Nations Cup after raising his half century of Super caps)
Unfortunately for Western Force and Australia, Tai is heading to Japan next year to take up a coaching position.
