Wallabies buoyant ahead of All Blacks clash
Wallabies vice-captain Stirling Mortlock says he and his team-mates will look to take care of "unfinished business" when they meet New Zealand in their Tri-Nations Test in Auckland on Saturday afternoon (AEST).
Love to see you do it Stirlo but I just can't see it happening!
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
Wondering if I should wear my Wallabies jersey totomorrow, or my All Blacks one with matching handbag...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
...hard choice
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
It would be good, but im not getting my hopes up...
McCaw is the pulse of this team. Keep him away from the breakdown, we are a chance! The forwards need to lift big time to get around the park, and put pressure on them(i reckon)
good game - good to see all 3 have been real contests.
tuqiri, you should be suspended for a few weeks for a pathetic tackle - keep that stuff in league!
Great game (from a neutral's point of view).
Again inconsistent refereeing was a blight on the spectacle (advantage & breakdown).
Lote's tackle was made worse by McCaw giving up the challenge (& becoming a soft competitor) when he lost the ball in the tackle - he contributed to the seriousness of the tackle.
but once you're in the air, its the tackler who decides where you fall - lote up-ended him in the air - and deserves a suspension as such
I didn't have much of a problem with Lote's tackle, he was driving through and certainly didn't turn McCaw in the air to make it a spear.
McCaw dropped his shoulder to make it look like a spear and it backfired on him.
Bet Mr O'Driscoll had a little chuckle to himself back home...
It was certainly a vast improvement by the Wallabies since the Boks match and if they can maintain that pressure from the first half today into the Joh'burg fixture I think we should finally get that elusive win there.
A bit to be very frustrated about but many many positives to focus on as well.
The Wallabies will now have the confidence to know that they can actually beat the All Blacks away so, while not a win, I would think that Knuckles will be quietly happy with the way the game panned out in the context of his France plans.
I think that we would have defeated any other team with the game we played.
"Bloody oath we did!"
