That button is still there....I think we just forgot about it
Today kids want to change the channel and can never find the remote, so they get up from the couch to look under the couch and walk past the tv looking for the remote, but forget that they can change it on the console![]()
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
You'd remember when there wasn't TV wouldn't you old chap
I remember when there were only two dials, the big clunky one for 2, 7 & 9 and the smooth smaller one for SBS. Also remember when there was only ABC outside of Perth.
But then, we only got TV at the station in 2002...
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
I miss Duck Hunt on the NES!!!
haha you all laugh about how you USED to have tvs with buttons...we have a tv with a dial! There is no sbs, just 2/7/9/10 and it has those 2 aerials sticking out the top & you have to get up to change the station and move the aerials for each station. It also has smaller dials to change the colour (to black & white!!), v-hold and brightness. It's fantastic!!
When I was a wee lad, we had a TV from radio rentals (or some such company) - you used to have to put 20 cents into it to get another 30 minutes of TV!
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
When I was a wee lad (bcoz now i'm such an old fart) I almost missed my return flight from NZ because I had spent over an hour almost finishing sonic the hedgehog 2 - good times![]()
The first TV in my house had a remote control with a cord. It was a bit like a computer mouse.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
