Learning off fellow scrumhalf Brett Sheehan, living in Perth and being part of a Super Rugby franchise is all a dream come true for 19-year-old Mark Swanepoel.
I seem to remember someone making comment that its likely we'll start seeing more Africans coming over to play for the force...
I believe Swanepoel is number 6?
Pocock - Zimbabwe
Haylett Petty - SA
Zeigler - Zimbabwe
Pretorius - SA
Turner - SA
O Connor has South African heritage as well i believe
no doubt this will increase as life becomes more difficult over there (and it will)...
yeah, well my dads from south africa, but see myself entirely as an australian, so heritage doesn't always count.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
He qualified to play for:
Australia - born here
South Africa - Grandmother was born there
New Zealand - both parents born there
(and I also read somewhere) England - Grandfather born there

Correct - Heritage doesn't count
I am more Australian than most born Aussies and I was born in South Africa.
Just because my birth cert says born in South Africa doesn't make me a Saffer
If that's the case, then George Gregan is not an Aussie he would be Zambian
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
Bit of a stretch for any of them except Pretorius to say they are coming over to play Rugby as well isn't it?
The rest are here because of their parents, not their career choices.
Regardless, the more the merrier, I think it's great.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Somewhat true...
Oh i forgot about mini Bambam as well .. so thats 7 now.
I thought it was Ireland that O'Connor qualified for. Or maybe that was some kind of bad joke because his last name has an O'.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
