Justin Turner made his debut in the ocean blue in a trial match against the Queensland Reds in 2008, but his 2009 campaign was cut short by a back injury.
Born in South Africa, JT and his family moved to Sydney at age 11 before coming to Perth two years later. Justin experienced a senior rugby tour of New Zealand with the EWF squad for the matches against the Blues and the Highlanders in 2008 thanks to Woodside’s support of the Academy program

Any update on his stress fractures - is he fit and in contact training - this lad was pencilled in as a really dynamic scrumie

Pretty sure the stress fractures are all done with. He was playing (pretty well too) for Gordon in the Shute Shield in September and looked to be at full fitness. If he's injured at the moment it will only be a training injury. I hope him and Mark Swanepoel get a good bit of a run this year. It's really great to have two talented young juniors who are a bit different in their style of play.

Yeap - all I've heard about this lad is as a real playmaker - one to watch for the future - had the pleasure of meeting him to - he comes over really well - articulate and focused - hard to get both in a young person.

Yeah a good combo- Turner the creative/dynamic little zipper and Swanepoel the tougher and stronger 4th backrower.

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
