The Force will be without winger Cameron Shepherd for approximately six weeks after scans confirmed a severe thigh strain sustained while kicking in the warm-up to the club’s opening round match against the Brumbies last Friday.
Shepherd will start his rehabilitation program immediately and will not require surgery.
Club medical staff are still considering their options in relation to a shoulder injury to Number 8 Richard Brown.
Fly-half Mark Bartholomeusz is making steady progress from a nerve irritation in his neck which kept him out of round one and is expected to return to action for the club’s next home game against the Chiefs on February 27.
