With all this doom & gloom flying around i thought a running thread to voice praise &/or good will to those that really need it, would be uplifting...
Cmon!! Sheps, Bambam, Brownie, Barto and Cullett! get well soon guys! we will burn a goat and toss a mudskipper to exorcise the injury demons currently plaguing our beloved boys in Blue!
For the guys left Standing... its time for you all to stand and be counted..
in the words of Winston "We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in the Scrum and on our line, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our fallen, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight in the Bull ring, the Cake Tin and in the Shark Tank, we shall fight in the lineouts and in the loose, we shall fight in the rucks & mauls; we shall never surrender!!.."
"Mayoooooo, maaaaaayyo" etc.

let's go force! it'll be good to give new young guys a go and i hope everyone recovers quicker than expected (but not pushing further injuries)!
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
by the English poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903)
This is the Poem Invictus - as referred to in the movie about the 1995 Rugby World Cup by the same name.
Pretty Praise-worthy I think
Exile
Port Macquarie
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
It doesn't diminish those words at all, but I think I read somewhere that it wasn't actually Invictus that was read out pre match?
Anyway, GO THE FORCE!!!
