many of those off contract are the one year contract mercenaries. Rod McQueen has said they don't whant those players at Melbourne, but I'll give London to a brick that the first signing of one of these is accompanied by a raft of press statements saying he's signed on because he's right behind Melbourne as a force in Aussie rugby and will bleed (whatever colour the Rebels will be wearing) till the day he dies (whilst signing a three year contract with an option at the end of each year)

No doubts what-so-ever...they will bleed navy blue (I think that's their colour), they will 'love' the Melbourne lifestyle, they will buy a serviced apartment on St Kilda Rd, they will love the trams, they will drink Victoria Bitter, etc etc etc - They will be 1000% Vic- for the duration of their contract.
Navy blue? Are they bloody serious? Why can't someone have green jerseys? Noone in the Super 14 has brown or green.
