I had a smile on my face when I shook Sharpes hand tonight, even though we lost.

I hope we keep him past 2011, at an assistant, or even proper coaching capacity.

It's passion like his that builds a club.

Stanno's try gave us all a huge release - got a love the huge grin through his mouth guard eh! 4 game contract extends to the season end we hope.

I'm with Sharpie 100% - Live on Fox: "And I think the pleasing thing for us was we F**n really gave it to them to tonight.."

We're proud of your team too Sharpie - bring on the Bulls!

ive just watched the reply on tv,force showed a lot more commitment and pressure this week, but its very hard to win a game where you dont score in the second half, hodgo, was all class, everywhere once again....

Still being a novice to the game and clueless about the rules. Can someone please explain too me what was going on from about 6 or 7 minutes left in the game until approximately 3 minutes left? It seemd like they simply let 3 or 4 minutes minutes burn off the clock killing almost any chance for us to get the game winning try.
Larry, what that was, was excellent clock and referee management by the Tahs (especially Robinson). They managed to wind three minutes of the clock doing endless scrum re-sets and the ref let them. Every scrum seemed to take a minute to set, by which time the crowd had often quietened down again! Robinson was getting monstered by Fairbrother all night, but (maybe because he's the Wallaby incumbent) he had the ref in his pocket.

Crossy had a poor game - he hasn't really been up to speed all season, but now that everyone else is clicking it's more noticable. He doesn't hit the ball running and then seems to slow down into contact - a sure way of getting yourself injured! I wonder if his arm is worrying him more than he's letting on. Alternatively, is age catching up with him?

We also kick away the ball too much. The first 20 minutes of the 2nd half was spent almost entirely with the Tahs camped in our half. When we did get the ball is was kicked away time and again. The trouble is that if the ball goes out the Tahs get it back about 10m downfield, and if it doesn't go out the Tahs get the chance to run it back at us. The kick doesn't relieve pressure at all. I wonder if it's a directive from the coaches that they don't want us caught with the ball in our own 22, because we've used that tactic in pretty much every game I've seen. It mean the opposition know that they can kick for the corner, secure in the knowledge that they're going to get the ball back soon anyway.

When we did manage to break out of our half we battered the Tahs. I know I'm a one-eyed supporter, but the ref did seem unduly harsh on us - penalising Hodgo for not releasing when he wasn't a tackler - calling for holding on in a non-existent ruck, etc.

I'm sick to death of modern rugby scrums.

The endless resets is killing me.

3 minutes in, bring back scrums like this. Flowing rugby where the rule book is just a guide and not entered into every 5 seconds.

Should have seen the Sevens match where the scrum was reset 3 times! How do you have to reset a 3 man scrum!

Was great to hear the crowd get behind the boys. Was a great performance especially after watching the game last week.

And who was the idiot who let TahMan into the ground!!

    ...

Of course, it may not have happened all like that. The first section had a headhigh tackle, so that should have been jumped on. Also, whats with the haka? Looks like something that would have been on Countdown.

This was an era when men lost their testicles on the field, literally.

Head high tackles were hardly ever blown up over.

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
