Pocock hopeful of return

TEST flanker David Pocock could make a surprise return from injury for the bottom-placed Western Force's match with competition leaders, the Bulls, in Perth on Saturday.
Pocock snapped a finger tendon in the opening round against the Brumbies and was not expected to be back before the Good Friday clash with the Stormers.
It is far from certain he will beat that estimate, but the mere thought of having him back against the unbeaten Bulls has given the Force a fillip after Saturday's devastating loss to NSW. Indeed, Perth officials are hoping he will give the club a second injection of hope this week by re-signing.
Force captain Nathan Sharpe was justifiably proud of his side's wholehearted performance against NSW, but frustrated too -- and not just with referee Jaco Peyper's bewildering late rulings.
"When things aren't going your way it's funny how often decisions go against you too, but we still had our chances," Sharpe said. "What we lacked was patience."
