Perth Bayswater, Rocky, Wests and Uni are gone, gone, gone for 2010.
Its now a 6 horse race for the four finals berths.

It is a long season. Some clubs will lose some to Eastern States at end of S14, Some may pick up some Europeans at end of their season, there will be injuries, there will be suspensions to 3 yellow card rule, and strict approach of judiciary. This time last year - Neddies were looking at Wooden Spoon, ended up 2nd.
Reading between the lines Neddies must have some european imports coming.
Can you confirm Hansie?
Definately not.......was hinting at club in far northern 'burbs.
Is it just me or is the standard of refereeing woeful or what?
Apart from Julian Pritchard and James Sherriff are there any other capable refs running around in Premier Grade?
Slim pickings it would seem and not much talent coming through the lower grades from my observation.
from what I have seen I would say that refereeing are up the an expectable standard
even at most junior games things have run smoothly
Answer 1. I imagine it depends upon which team people support as to whether they think the ref was any good.
Answer 2. There are several refs ranked in the top 10 at the end of last year who have either moved away from Perth, are only available occasionally due to work commitments or not available for senior appointment due to family commitments. This gives the opportunity to lower-ranked refs to develop their craft at higher grades.
Answer 3. What are you doing this coming Sunday? Click here

Dunno about darkness, but I know madness takes its toll![]()
In other words Ecky, you agree that the refereeing standard has slipped because of the loss of senior referees between seasons etc.
Pity you're on your way out!
I was just Thinking....many young players find that they are just too small, too many injuries, too much in love or lacking in skills to achieve their rugby playing dream. What if WA Refs Association gets clubs to let them know the e-mail contact details of such people and then write them an e-mail about achieving their rugby dreams but maybe not as an EWF player but as an S14 ref.
Young Daelyn Waetford did an amazing promotional job on a couple of parents whose son falls into one of the above categories a few weeks back and I am assured by the parents that their 19 year old son is interested in refereeing.
