Dry July is an online social community where an individual or team can sign up to the challenge of a month long sponsored abstinence from alcohol.
The funds raised from participants’ sponsorship directly benefit the lives of adults living with cancer right across Australia.
Sponsorship is raised online via participant or team profile pages. You support the team here on TWF by sponsoring and/or joining us by following this link: https://www.dryjuly.com/groups/mydri...sarugbyproblem
Dry July is about clearing your head and making a difference. Get healthy, challenge yourself, encourage positive change and a healthy attitude to alcohol consumption.
We hope you embrace the concept, take on the challenge and ensure Dry July has a positive effect on your well-being as well as the well-being of others. Otherwise, sponsor those who have taken on the challenge.
In 2009, Dry July participants helped raise over $1.27 million dollars for adult cancer patients at our 6 beneficiary hospitals in major Australian states.
In 2010 Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital oncology ward is the Western Australian beneficiary.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
... and thanks to Ruddy, WA hospitals need all the money they can get!
I will have to sponsor seeing as though our new facility is being built at QEII![]()

I'm not sure how many business folk there are out there - but I'm thinking I'm gonna do a "free" advertising/link thing for people/businesses that donate to our Dry July team ... Send me a PM if you're a TWF member, or a message if you're not (or prefer 'some' anonymity) and I'll work something out for you that will be well worth your while.
To donate to our team, click the empty glass in teh top header - you can donate to individuals through there also.
Does it count if I join, as someone who doesn't actually drink alcohol? Piece of cake team!
Good luck to everyone but![]()
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
