Here it is
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMjNn7VcWDA&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube - RaboDirect Rebels Launch TV Commercial[/ame]
Not as inspiring or as motivational as the Melbourne's Storm new ad campaign.
What a terrible ad. In summary, we have no history, we have no traction in the market, we have no hope.
Just....wow.
No doubt the ad men are slapping themselves on the back because they created such an intellectual anti-ad.
gayer than AIDS
Obviously designed by Melbourne metrosexuals
I hate Vics
Now in my moleskin trousers and my Williams boots
Aboard an outlaw as he leaves the chutes
In my goose neck spurs I rake their fiery hide
And the girls all shouting around the ringside
Oh he's the Fulla from Cunnamulla
Yeah he's the Cunnamulla Fulla
What do they mean "barely a field to play on" - how many more fields do they want?
Laugh and the world laughs with you.......
......cry and you'll weaken your beer
like i said, that ad was made by RaboDirect, the idea is that they are both essentially starting off in the country, the odds are against them etc etc.. Its actually quite rare in Australian sport that a major sponsor would spend money to come up with ads like that which are focused primarily on the team and not the companies product.
This is the actual Melbourne Rebels advertisement:

not much of an improvement
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
I reckon the second ad does a better job of hiding the fact that melbourne's a dirty, rainy, cold shit hole.
Not completely hiding it mind you, but better.
C'mon the![]()
