WALLABIES outside back Adam Ashley-Cooper is expected to announce in the coming days he is leaving the Brumbies to join the NSW Waratahs in the Super rugby competition.
Ashley-Cooper recently re-signed with the ARU, but he has until Thursday to decide whether to stay in Canberra or move to Sydney.
It is understood Ashley-Cooper's relationship with Sydney-based fashion stylist Pip Edwards will influence him to change clubs.
The Brumbies have already admitted they are not optimistic about keeping Ashley-Cooper, while the Waratahs believe they have more chance of securing him now than they did at the start of the negotiating process.
Ashley-Cooper made his Super rugby debut for the Brumbies against the Crusaders in 2005 and he has played 51 Tests for the Wallabies.
A versatile player, Ashley-Cooper can play four positions in the backline, but would likely play inside centre for the Waratahs.
