Scott has the destinction of being the player who posted the first points for the in Super 14 2006 when at the 31st minute he kicked a difficult penalty.
Born in Arawa, PNG, Scott is a creative flyhalf with exceptional running, passing and tactical kicking skills.
Scott Daruda made his Super 12 debut for the Reds in 2005, coming on as a replacement in two matches, before captaining the Australian Under 19s at the IRB World Championships in Ireland and then as a member of the Australian Under 21s in Argentina.
The former Nudgee College First XV captain is a talented flyhalf who can also play in the centres. He has gained valuable experience as members of the Under 19 (captain) and Under 21 age championships and as a member of the Australia A squad to play the French Barbarians.
Daruda's mother is from Papua New Guinea, where he was also born and his father is Austrian.
Scott enjoys fishing and hopes to study PE teaching in the future.
