They got rid of Mowen to free that space up. Also remember that Waugh has retired.

Yeah but still. Lets assume that the Tahs keep 4 locks and 6 backrowers.

In the locks you have Vickerman, Mumm, Douglas, and potentially Sitaleki Timani, Caldwell or Peterson.

In the backrow you have Elsom, Dennis, Palu, Alcock, McCutcheon, Perrett, and McCaffrey used last season and not committed elsewhere. There is Lopeti Timani in the senior academy as well. Plus there was talk of Jono Jenkins and Tevita Metuisela being considered.

So what do you do? The way I figure it is that Elsom's back-up would be Mumm and Palu's back up would be Dennis. The bench backrower would be McCutcheon on the basis of versatility and Alcock's superior scavenging giving him the 7 jersey. McCaffrey's chances of getting serious game time will require two injuries (thankfully for him Palu and Elsom are pretty fragile). If he wants game time, it might be worth asking for a release.

Can someone tell me where we are at with Swanepoel. He looked alright at 9 when he got his chance and would provide good cover for Turner if he gets injured again and Swanepoel IMHO is a better 9 than Sheehan and he could cover wing and maybe 10 aswell. Yes, i know hes playing npc for canterbury, im talking Forcewise.
