Firstly congratulations on outstanding performance against our Wallabies yesterday, you certainly were the better team on the day a fully deserved the win.
I for one will be cheering you on against the French on Sunday and hope you back last weekends lesson up with another one, taylor made for the Frogs (I think you owe them a few RWC defeats as you did us!)
I'm sure there will plenty of others like me on this side of the ditch hoping that you take your second RWC (even though both will have been on home soil) as you have no doubt been the form team of the competiton despite the long list of injuries and misbehaviour.
After spending three weeks traveling far and wide across your beautiful country, having the pleasure of local knowledge and friendly rivalry, re-uniting with old friends and making plenty of new ones, you at the very least deserve a pat on the back for the way you have looked after and treated all your international guests, truely outstanding.
Apart from all the good stuff, I also saw the devestation of Christchurch city and surrounds, witnessed the way Cantabrians have "got on with it" in the face of such destruction. I spent time on the West Coast re-living the nightmare that was Pike River and also saw and heard the first reports of Rena running into Astrolite Reef and the ongoing damage that will bring you in the future.
So bearing all that in mind I can think of no more worthy winniners of this years RWC and hope that something that I know means so much to you (as it does to us!) will bring just a little bit of joy to all that have suffered and continue to suffer.
So it's four more years for us, and just one more game for you, good luck.
