The Emirates Western Force will take on a new look in 2012 with internationally acclaimed apparel company KooGa partnering with the club for the next three seasons.
KooGa are well established in the rugby market with their association with the Wallabies as well as the Queensland Reds and Melbourne Rebels making them the dominant supplier of quality playing and training kit in Australia.
The Emirates Western Force will proudly wear an all-new home and alternate strip next season. While the design will be a fresh approach, the club’s traditional ‘ocean blue’, which is a defining characteristic of the Emirates Western Force, will feature prominently across the entire playing kit.
KooGa Managing Director Tyron Brant said working with a new franchise presented wonderful opportunities to create an exciting apparel range and is delighted with the outcomes the partnership with the Emirates Western Force has achieved already.
“Having recently set up offices in WA it was vital for us to form a partnership with not only a professional sporting team but also a team that has significant roots in community sport,” Mr Brant said.
“Culturally we wanted to partner with a club that is young and exciting with a fan base that is loyal to the brand and what it stands for.
“The Emirates Western Force ticked all these boxes and it has been an absolute pleasure working with the team so far.
“We firmly believe that the Force will make a significant impact in Super Rugby over the next three years and are looking forward to the journey together.”
As the Emirates Western Force pre-season kicked into gear today players were delighted to receive their new training apparel and have been impressed with the look and feel of the kit.
RugbyWA CEO Vern Reid said KooGa’s rise into an internationally recognised brand while retaining a uniquely Australian feel was very much in keeping with the values and aspirations of the Emirates Western Force.
“Both the Emirates Western Force and KooGa evolved under the leadership of passionate people committed to achieving the best in their respective fields and this new partnership will aid in that journey for both organisations,” Mr Reid said.
“Our supporters have passionately shown their colours in creating the famous ‘sea of blue’ at home matches and our new KooGa jerseys will allow them to continue that wonderful tradition.
“We’ve already had plenty of great feedback from the squad about the training apparel. It looks fantastic and is perfect for the modern player.
“The launch of the playing strip isn’t far away and I know our members and supporters won’t be disappointed with what they’ll see and be eager to get their hands on the new KooGa range as soon as possible.”
KooGa’s Emirates Western Force merchandise will be available to purchase from the club’s new headquarters in Mount Claremont from late November giving everyone plenty of time to stock up for Christmas.
I'm liking the training kit.
I noticed they said "While the design will be a fresh approach, the club’s traditional ‘ocean blue’, which is a defining characteristic of the Emirates Western Force, will feature prominently across the entire playing kit". Hopefully that doesnt mean theyre going to do a queensland reds on us and give us matching blue shorts. Think the contrast of black and blue looks good. Hoping its not too radical.

Glad they are going to come up with a new alternate strip. From the front it didn't look too bad but from the back it sucked. The problem with using silver means it just looks like a woosy light grey.
Be interesting to see the new main strip, from the photo of the training shirt it has more black in it so an ocean blue/black combo should be good.
I don't like the look of the new training kit. There is too much going on.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Gaffa...Can I have a copy of the picture of Sharpie running out...I had the camera all poised and ready for the shot, and when he ran out this HUGE GINORMOUS Bokke stood right in front...!!!![]()
I wasn't game to yell at him to sit down..his wife/partner was even bigger....and I was quite high up and suffer terrihbly from vertigo...

That's just the training jersey right?
I hope and pray that it is, beige....
Training top yes...
Given how loose it is, it'd have to be. Would this be the 'Away' training top?

the training kit looks too much like the blue bulls strip from last year..(or was it the year before?)
