RugbyWA have introduced a new initiative aimed at developing WA Rugby's relationship with the smaller rugby playing nations of the world, and reducing the amount of money clubs have been forced to pay to secure international recruits.
The other motive behind this recruiting initiative is to ensure that clubs will be financial enough to pay the new Force Levy of $30,000 per senior club and $15,000 per Junior club, to be introduced this coming season. Clubs will also have to find the money to pay for the "Adopt A Force Star" program under which each club will have to provide accommodation and a vehicle for their two nominated adopted players.
The allocation of small nations to which each club will be restricted in its recruitment endeavours has already been decided and is as follows:
Associates - Malta
Cottesloe - The Maldives
Kalamunda - Congo
Perth Bayswater - Lithuania
Palmyra - Iceland
University - Lichtenstein
Wests Subiaco - Monaco
Wanneroo - Panama
Rockingham - Somalia
Nedlands - New Zealand
