Can relate to a lot of that Ecky, at least the school aspect.
Due to where I live/d my "career" ended at the end of school life as it does for many boarders.
Unfortunately many great players are lost to the country every year from around the PSA.
Of those who went to Clubs around my time, due to a couple of influential players with existing loyalties in each respective year group, the majority of Scotch leavers went to Cottesloe ('89), Associates ('90) and Wests ('91).
Back then it was rare for a Scotch player to play both School and Club.
Some of the backs did but I can only recall one or two forwards (from those three year groups) who used to just play from the bench for Club, then starting once the School season finished.

good story ecky
So with this thread commencing a few years ago, which school was chosen? Did it/ Does it live up to expectation?
It seems the concensus remained:
Current best PSA on results: Hale (but probably going to a PSA School for more than their sport)
Current best Govo on results: Aranmore (probably help to be a Mick though)
Current best if you want a scholarship: As above (but PSA Colleges rarely recognise as a sports scholarship)
Best if going on Old Boy Success: Scotch (John Welborn)
No idea for your second question.
