Just heard an interview with Mick(last night's radio commentator) on 6Pr and he suggested that the Force is looking at the Sydney 10 that played last night in the curtain raiser. Apparently he kicked 8/9 and looked pretty good
Does anybody know more or heard the full interview

I'm not sure whether we need an AMAZING 10 or just a serviceable one. I guess if we pick up a half decent 10 from Sydney and pick up a decent development 12 to complement him some of the backline problems will begin to evaporate.
If we can get a backline which doesn't gift the ball back to the opposition with good position our forwards will be able to assert some dominance on other teams.
What's wrong with Ben Seymour, he's a sydney 10 and didn't crack a minute in the playmaking role last night?

He is young and strong give the Kid a go but put him with JT as i think they would be good together
If you look back to the last games of 2011 and see the way Swannie and Chucky played maybe as i have said sheehan and chucky dont quite get it right Chucky was good but needed swanny to compliment him So dont try mixing and matching old players bring in 2 new kids and let them come together when they change the 9/10 combo do both leave sheehan and chucky on or put Jt and Benny in for the first half...
Its a long time since I took the field but one of my old coaches always said the 9 and 10 need to be married to make it work
turner isnt ready. as we saw last night. he'll get there. but not from a starting spot. give him progressively increasing game time as the season goes on, he'll be apples by the end of the year
Dave Harvey played 10 for Force A last night
Hi Jono
Yes I did see last night that at times he did loose his way but I do think he will make the grade and hope he and Seymour do it together
i didnt say he wouldnt. actually i'm pretty sure i said he'd be set by the end of the year.
i also think i said that he should be given increasing amounts of game time as the season progresses.
i dont think he has the experience for a starting spot in super rugby at the moment
I suspect this is him in the highlights
yes Jono alll is good and I agree with you....
Lk I don't wanna be too cynical here, but I saw one tackle in that, and he hasn't been picked up by an eastern states club even though he's playing for Sydney Uni. Does this indicate issues in defense?
Also, he needs guys around him who'll play differently, ATM the entire backline is flat as...they're all playing like they've got 15 kilos on the opposition and they'll make busts at will. We need somebody running from depth and hitting the ball at pace. We need two lines in attack to give the flyhalf some variation to work with. We need to use the width the wingers are creating by standing on the chalk before the opposition realize that an umbrella will kill us dad in our tracks.
In short, we need some coaching by a guy who understands backline play.
(for those who are rushing to their keyboards to flame me, yes I do know that RG played as a back)

Hey Gigs be careful I got this thrown at me for say that the backs were very sugish and not running on to the ball by some dark fellow
my quote was
Chucky and Turner are better but Turner is very quick so chucky is not organised enuff for the quick ball
The outside centres always play out side we dont see that change of direction player running onto the ball
Our wingers are side line creepers not impact players Cullet trys but communication fails him
All the other teams have cut out and decoy runners we throw hospital passes
The back line stands way to close to advantage line so the opposition gets them to quick..
We have the worlds best backdown team but the plays are way to slow coming They get the ball only have it take to long to clear the ruck
At the breakdown we in the stands can see the force setting there next play so the opposition is doing the same watching and laughing..
We need a Half that can change direction form a breakdown with players running of the back of the rucks
Tonkar, I think you should change your name to "Plonka".
You are so far off the mark with your comments.
Must have had ten beers before you logged on to this site.
If he's a liability in defense we could always hide him at fullback. Seems to have a decent boot and isnt scared to attack the line......the chip kicking might do my head in tho. Gigs is right about the support cast and tactics directed by coach.
