Thought I'd start off a new thread and ask about Harvey, his short term contract is to expire this Thursday for the EWF. (4 games come and gone) should we resign him ??
Here's my thoughts.
In my eyes he would be a perfect fkyhalf, he's too slow at FB and missing in places, as he is in the line attacking, push dellit to full back Seymour to bench and Harvey to 10.
I know it sounds like a joke, but saw shep last night in his suit, had a chat and he said he will be fighting for his FB jersey next week against the retahs, does that mean Harvey will go to 10, or on a flight back to Sydney as his contract will be terminated.
I'd like to see him stay till years end and then action it thereafter.
Thoughts....
The chance of Sheps playing again for the Force is very slim.
Well at the moment he's not injured. How long do we expect Shep to be fit for?
Hard one!

As i said "sounds like a joke" but shep COULD be back
I say we keep him.

I'd lean towards letting him go with an option to get him back as injury replacement if needed, provided Shep is OK to kick goals. Harvey seems a little reluctant to take the ball into contact or even to run when the counter is on. His return kicking seems rushed almost in panic at times. You won't get that with Shepherd. You can look at him as an injury risk or you can say he's just one rehab away from a good run of luck.
Main reason is that I'd persevere with Ben at 10. I'm liking what I see from him and there's a hint that he's got what it takes to make at least a serviceable Super Rugby 5/8. Then the coach has the option of gradually blooding Kyle G from FB and -or - 5/8. Hopefully those two will go on and become the play makers we have been so lacking.

I am with you on this one guys, Harvey looks very vulnerable, lets rather develop Seymour over time and get a decent Marquee flyhalf next year for him to learn from.
I would prefer Dellit at fullback as well, I think Shep may be a bench player for the remaining matches, the youngsters need game time.
Not sure who would kick though, Sheehan and Seymour will need to practice quite a bit.

sign him to the end of the season ............
I say we should defo sign Harvey til the end of the season. As for Shep, he's been an awesome player for the Force but I reckon he's too injury-prone nowadays. Keep him on the bench but have the younger, fitter guys like Dellit in the run-on XV.
Shouldn't the Force management be looking at some Argy players?

I thought if you play 4 games they must give him a contract same as Charles got his contract no? You would have to keep him round anyway with the injury to chucky you need 10 cover incase Seymour goes down.

Sign "THE JUICE" get it done...
With Stannard out for a possible 6 we need Harvey to stay on. Otherwise if Seymour gets injured we only have Godwin as a potential 10. With Dellit and Shepherd potentially back, Harvey should be looked at as a 10 or bench 10/12/15.
It's probably also a good message to send players that they get looked after at theand it is a good place to get opportunities.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Sign him for the season, but no longer. The last few weeks have shown that we desperately need two playmakers, even then we're soft against a good defense. There's no-one else.
We need somebody with a 10 skillset to play 12 next year, and that's not dave
