how do they pick teams without watching any games
Trial games was played over 2 days. All players that wanted to trial had to register and there was around 140 U15 kids playing over the 2 days.
North Team won the first game today It was as hot as hell at the Uni grounds. Both teams played well with North scoring two converted tires. South came back with 2 tries but failed to convert 14-10. North missed a penalty but then succeeded with a second penalty shortly after taking their score to 17. South scored their 3rd try but failed again with the conversion. A penalty to South in the final minute caused hart attacks among the North supporters but unfortunately for South the kick was to the left. Final Score 17-15 to the North
some photos to follow
A dominant performance by North has given them a 36-23 victory over South today in game two of the 2012 15’s State Championships at UWA Sports Park today.
North found themselves with a 14-0 lead early with prop Lorenzo Mario using his strength to cross twice with Jona Chase slotting the conversions with ease.
South brought themselves back into the game by spreading the ball wide where wing Matthew Lander used his pace to devastating effect to cross in the corner.
Another converted try to North from a good pick and drive play put them ahead 21-5 with five minutes to go in the half. South did manage to add another three points to their tally before the break but still were a long way back.
South showed greater determination in the opening minutes of the second half and they took the first points with a successful penalty goal to Lander.
North responded with Mario again finding himself with the try line in sight not long after and dived over for his third of the game giving North a 26-11 lead.
The South side weren’t ready to relinquish the game and lifted their attacking intensity to break through the North defence with tries to Kalib Maksimovic and O’Neill Zammit and another conversion to Lander put them within three points with ten minutes remaining.
The game fell just out of South’s reach when Jayden Ngamanu crossed for his side’s fifth try and Chase kicked the conversion. Another penalty as the clock ticked towards full time sealed the 13 point victory for North.
Despite North being two up in the three game series the final standings are determined by points for and against meaning South require a victory of more than 16 points in Friday’s final game at UWA Sports Park to take the Championship.

Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Lorenzo Mario
He is U15 this year but plays U16 as well was, already selected to the U15 state rep side in 2011. He is also a very committed Force level 3 Academy player. Best prop I have ever seen. Runs almost as fast as my boy and weighs around 105kg Scored 3 tries today. http://www.westernforce.com.au/Team/...rProfiles.aspx

Who are the big boof heads in the blue and grey shirts?
Any future Force squad member's?
There is definitely enough talent to think that we can at least get 4 or 5 of these boys playing for the Force however this will depend on the RUGBYWA development programs and retention policy. It will be much cheaper to develop these boys than paying big $ for mercenaries from over east and from across the Tasman. Only time will tell ....
