WESTERN Force coach Richard Graham has been told to leave the club immediately after senior players decided they could no longer play for him.
Graham, who announced on Monday he was departing the Super Rugby club to join rivals Queensland next year, infuriated players who he had been trying to re-sign at the Force.
Once they learned he was leaving, they felt betrayed. Many players did not wish to play under Graham for the remainder of the season, and after a team meeting today the Force decided the situation was untenable.
The Force will announce an interim coach shortly.

The Reds can have him !!!
That's the best thing for the club. I admit i am totally gobsmacked that it was left to the players. Rugby WA are a worry!

Still waiting for confirmation from rugbyWA though
If only WA was independant, we could also revoke his passport!

Now that's out of the way, go poach the crap outta the Reds. Get all the players who are pissed at Link handing the reins to that clown.
I was gonna use a smiley. But actually it's not a bad idea.

So what's the situation re confidentiality? Anyone know?
Posted via Mobile DeviceThat is saying anything to Reds re players, weakness etc
Just saw he has signed a 3 year contract with the Reds. I wonder what the get out clauses are with them. IF they want to keep him they should remember how they got him.

"Player power has resulted in the Western Force parting ways with coach Richard Graham, with a three-pronged team to take the reins for the remainder of the Super Rugby season.
Graham was initially slated to see out the season with the Force despite announcing earlier in the week he would join the Queensland Reds as head coach from next year.
A number of Force players were unhappy with the situation, and put pressure on the board to cut ties with Graham before next week's home clash with the Stormers."
....
"The Force statement said more than 30 applicants have already put their names forward to become the new head coach next season."

I wonder if any of them is named Rex.

Yeah but that probably includes Happy and whoever he was drinking with last Saturday
A curious thought just came into my mind. Was he really pushed by the players or did he manipulate them as part of his cunning plan so he could leave Perth sooner rather than later? Knowing they would be as mad as a cut snake and would spit the dummy, he announces his move now rather than at the end of the season and uses their dummy spit as a Get Out Of Jail card?
RG doesn't strike me as a professor of cunning at Oxford University %)
If he had displayed any cunning or nous the last two seasons we'd have won all those close ones
