It doesn't take a Rocket Surgeon to figure out that there is pretty much no way the Reds can afford to keep Cooper with the $4.1 million salary cap and WGs resigning for $400k. So what are his options? As far as Australia goes, I'm guessing neither the Rebels nor the Tahs can afford him, so I guess there is a very realistic possibility he will be heading West, unless of course he goes chasing the big bucks in Europe. But that will pretty much end his Wallabies career...

The Force said they had had no conversations about Quade Cooper. It makes sense too. Wait to see if he still has it after his comeback. He will make it such a media circus that I doubt it will be resolved soon.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
I would imagine after the WG debacle the Force are keeping wery wery quiet..
Muzzle Tim Horan.
I only want him if he really, really, really, really wants us!!!!
so you don't want him then %)
I don't want him, he would be coming here for the WRONG reasons, just another high priced egomaniac mercenary that would leave as soon as it suited his manager. For all his skills, this organisation does does not need another primadonna, it needs some hard nosed professionals here for the duration trying to achieve something.
i think you need to be a bit more realistic then that...
Apart from money, what can the Force offer him over Queensland and the other provinces?
Its a professional environment, Quade will weigh up the sentimental attachment to family and friends in Queensland(as well as the Reds) and see whether the financial gain of another province is enough to offset that.
If like WG the difference is $150'000 - $200'000 then no doubt Quade will the type of person to chase that. No hard feelings.
I don't understand what's so great about Queensland, when we went over to see Reds game I thought Brisbane was a sh!thole on a dirty river! Although must admit I did like the fact you can buy beer in the shopping mall, Hay street mall needs that!

Oh I know that it's a professional* environment these days. And that Quade will be looking to do what's right for him**. Good luck to him. I'm just an old fashioned gal who wants old fashioned values*** in her rugby team. No hard feelings, taken or meant.
*mercenary and greedy
** screw every last cent out of his employers
***selflessness and a genuine love for and pride in WA and the Western Force
