I've been taking my son to Britannia Reserve in Leederville a couple of hours early in preparation for his under 14's matches this season to watch teams play in the Under 16's who kick off about 1040am.
The idea is to have some quite father-son time in an attempt for both of us to gain some knowledge on player positioning etc.....
......and WOW we've seen some FANTASTIC ruggers played in the Under 16's, so I thought these boys deserved their own thread to discuss our local talent coming through and how the Force is or can nurture this talent coming up.
The standard of play I’ve been witnessing in the WA Under 16's comp is unbelievable and I'm sure they would not be out of place in Sydney, Brisbane or NZ.
I’ve found and attached the current Under 16’s Points table for a look to see what team to watch and who they’ve got coming through to keep an eye on. They ruggers is quite refreshing to watch as they're not getting payed or over here for the season only to prop up our Premier Comp'.
A few weeks ago i watched Southern Lions thump UWA with SL running in try after try through their wings and fullback, was very entertaining and the following week watched Kalamunda do the samething to some poor buggers.
Anybody aware of other players who are not involved with the Force Academy who maybe up-and-comers?

Below is a Cut & paste from the Force Academy page. I think these are the boys I’ve probably been watching and I encourage anybody who's interested in WA Rugby to support this crop of local boy's to make the next step to enable WA to truly accept the Force as their team.

Above link is about last years state under 15's. Alot of these boys are currently playing in the under 16's comp.
As for the 2 boys mentioned above they are playing with Uni under 18's at the recommendation of the Academy. Apparently it is so they can keep a closer eye on them.
Not too good for the club that helped develop them.
Thats a bit rough on the club that nurtured them over the years - isnt UWA well positioned to pick these boys up then.
Anybody aware which of these lads from the Academy we need to keep a close eye on as a future pro???

KKs son is looking pretty sharp, he's playing U18s for Wanneroo, recently played in a mens 7s comp over East and carved up!
Well when a 12 year old kid is told that if he wants to play rugby for aronmore then he has to leave the club he has played for since 6 the club his dad played for and go to west they I have a problem with that . So yeah you seem to claim that wests is so great but they are just as bad as all the other clubs
