So, we are to believe that Cheika went through this very long process with the interviews even though he wasn't interested in the job?

    It just doesn't make sense.

Why would he waste his time with all that just to say no?

    Read Pocock

As much as I want Pocock to stay, and I understand he wants to know who is coaching the team....the team is always bigger than the individual.

The Force management are as weak as p1ss bowing constantly to player demands

They need to set the agenda and not promise things they may not deliver. Undelivered promises cause discontent. A direct communication wit the team prevents whispers and innuendo and makes all parties feel equally important in the process......team building and morale boosting

"david, we will be seeking a GREAT coach. We aren't promising when that will be because we aren't going to settle for someone inappropriate like we did last time. In our ideal world, we will have a coach by this date X, but if the right person hasn't been interviewed, we aren't going to get some Bozo again. We will have a team talk every month to keep all parties informed to enhance team communication and morale rather than leak it to individual players or media"

I would recommend "Good to Great" and "Great By Choice" written by Jim Collins as compulsory reading to Force management.

IF a) is true, then hopefully the other applicants are still in. Surely experienced businessmen don't tell the second, third......applicants they missed out before inking signatures? If that happenned i'd go from benefit of the doubt so far to sack the fuggin' lot. Hopefully someone is stringing Growden along for being such a dick.

I guess if he gets offered $20K and no relocation costs, he might decline?

Cheika is a pretty successful businessman who does not need to coach for the money if reports are true. I'm guessing it would be more a matter of balancing the desire to coach a successful team and how coaching in the West would suit his personal circumstances. If the sauces are right and he was choosing between the Force and the Tahs squads; there is no doubt they have the stronger squad on paper. With their abysmal record under successive coaches, including the current Qld genious, he might see the challenge of turning that around as more tempting. He's a Randwick boy after all. There'd be no great fault to find with Rugby WA in that scenario - provided there's a plan B. But you'd still have to wonder which is the most poisoned chalice for Cheika to choose.

I'm just gonna take a breath and sit back and see what happens next. I was more inclined towards Johnstone, Louden & Lane anyway.

Maybe. But that's got SFA to do with the real world most of us work in.

    Don't panic guys..........

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/spor...-1226426131267

The former Randwick player who coached Leinster to the European title in 2009 is considering the offer but has not yet responded to the offer of a two-year post.

The Force has been searching for a quality coach since Richard Graham announced in April he would be joining the Queensland Reds coaching staff next year.

Cheika, recently the coach of Stade Francais, certainly fits that bill although it is understood he made it clear to the Force he wants unfettered control of the team.

So the next best thing to sacking the board is to have them neutered

    The silent treatment

And from RWA comes ... complete silence ...

In RWA's view of the world, the only role of members is to hand over their money - without complaint.

    Enough!

Why does he hate the Tahs so much? Don't think he's too fond of the Rabble, Brumbies, Reds, ARU, NSWRU, WARU.......come to think of, maybe he doesn't like anyone. Possibly even himself - nobody else does.
