Says in the interview that he's keen to take up boxing?.....
He'd definately have to enter in to the "lightweight" division if his tackling is anything to go by!
Maybe he could enter in to the olympics to see if he could win a "yellow" medal!
See ya speed bump!
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
If it's true, it highlights an amazing lack of responsibility on his part. Cooper was "helped" through his prior indiscretions - which were numerous. Following this, even understanding the social media guidelines, he treated us to his thoughts, and was accordingly sanctioned.
His response to his new contract can only be seen as a failure to realise the conditions he had negotiated through his own actions. He's still a young guy, and I can only think that the recent media focus on Folau, SBW, and the improved Wallabys performance have contributed to a questionable decision. For all their failings Folau and Williams are proven performers, I will be surprised if anyone is really going to outlay big money for Cooper based on his recent performances, or even his career so far.
Hopefully his fists hit harder than his shoulders...

wonder if he'll then move onto MMA.

Hopefully he can box better than he can tackle!.....

This is a shame for "the running game" and a shame for QLD rugby where he had become a deity
Quite frankly, I will miss seeing hime playing for the Reds and the wallabies. His exciting attacking rugby has been one of the few highlights in 10 years of pretty average rugby in this country
Mungoes 1, GPS nancy boys nil
Now in my moleskin trousers and my Williams boots
Aboard an outlaw as he leaves the chutes
In my goose neck spurs I rake their fiery hide
And the girls all shouting around the ringside
Oh he's the Fulla from Cunnamulla
Yeah he's the Cunnamulla Fulla
I like beale over cooper at 10 any day.
I had a look at some photos, and beale featured in a lot of them, balls deep in a tackle...
Beale is one of the worst defenders I have ever seen
He also stands too deep
He also likes to run sideways at first receiver..........a sin
He also likes to "fade" after passing
He's also fat
QLD won a super rugby title on the back of the most exciting rugby seen in Australia since the 80's. We had the recipe to win the RWC.........but we went for crash balls from Mccabe
Someone needed to be sacked, but it wasn't Cooper
Now in my moleskin trousers and my Williams boots
Aboard an outlaw as he leaves the chutes
In my goose neck spurs I rake their fiery hide
And the girls all shouting around the ringside

Im in agreeance with all the above comments, He is a tossa and doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut (a bit like his mates he hangs around.. no names)
But putting on the QC hat, the ARU (Deans,JON, media and supporters) are always whinging that Japan Rugby, European rugby keep stealing our stars.. well when you give possibly Australia's #1 Flyhalf (before he got injured) a performance based contract then what do you expect ??
I have no time for tossas or tossers, I say TOSS them out.. :-)
In spite of everything that Cooper has or has not done I see this as another disaster lead by that idiot Khoder Nasser. As player manager he makes a great clown. He is a blight on the Australian sporting scene and should be banned from representing anyone in a sport baring boxing.... which is where he belongs, rubbing shoulders with the rest of the sheisters.

Great player, but let down by poor judgment, immaturity and poor advice from people like his manager/agent. Hopefully he'll get his sh!t together and realise his potential. I doubt he'll go to league, they'll be a few french clubs quite interested. I doubt any of the UK clubs would and I think he'd struggle over there. But he'll go OK in France.
Most probably should have added "perceived failings". as there were opinions that he had walked out on league for the money. Some believed he was taking a paid sabbatical, implied he was a con, and had no intention of fulfilling his side of the deal. There are those in AFL that also consider him a failure as a player, and as an "experiment".
I don't support any of the above views. As with SBW, Folau experimented, and he was wise enough to do it when he was in a good place, not when he had to.
Based on his performance this yearI can't really fault the ARU for presenting a watered down contract. By the sounds of things he is getting a fairly good 3 year offer from the QRU and a performance-related contract with the ARU should mean that he would be able to negotiate an improved ARU-contract should he perform as we've seen him do, consistently.
If he wasn't such a pansy, it would simply be a question of swallowing abit of pride, pulling the finger out and getting back to the razzle dazzle game we've seen him put on show.
Hopefully, the ARU are as consistent with the other non-performing Wallabies.
